Some companies spend too much on unnecessary software upgrades while some are not willing to spend at all. There will always be risks and possible impact, but the longer you drag, the more expensive it becomes to move to new platform or system. Someone has to be the one brave enough to START the entire migration. Otherwise, it’s hard to keep up with the new competition.

By the way, this is Juan (the emotionless guy on the left) in his last job before he moved to the current company with Mitch. This was the place which made him the “I-care-not-for-this-company” person.

I was quite busy on Sunday and just came back from Sydney on Saturday evening. So this comic is rather simple and short. Will try to do a better one next Monday.

Anyway, I think this is quite true because if the bosses have been there for more than 10 years….what makes you think you will get promoted especially when the company is not expanding. So a good employee retainment policy to you, might not be equally good to others.

It’s normal for bosses or sales people to always put up nice-looking charts to impress customers and potential customers. It’s even more normal for the same group of people (bosses especially) to post up contrasting results to show employees in order to find enough reasons to cut cost.

Seriously I doubt this will ever happen. LOL. Just for fun. But that doesn’t deny the fact that most clinics have CCTVs….so, it IS achievable It depends on how free your boss is.

I think the bosses would be very happy with this kind of manager – someone who is able to ‘nurture’ the employees’ mindset to become a ‘working machine’.

This is based on a true story experienced by a friend of mine (the final scene did not happen though)

The above is a slightly modified version of what my friend has experienced few years ago. One of his bosses told the team to stop working and invited them to a famous Chinese restaurant for dinner. He ordered a lot of nice and expensive food and my friend and his teammates were so happy. Unfortunately, before they have even finished with the food, the boss left in a hurry and they have to foot for the bill themselves.

Oh ya, and the project failed after that. The employees were too demotivated to work!

Employees get unhappy easily. The solution to that is to talk to their boss. The boss will somehow make them happy.

Since salary information is supposed to be private & confidential aka secret, maybe the bosses can use this tactic to boost their subordinates’ morale?

Somehow I feel that most bosses will ask for the best performance from their people but will tell their people to appreciate whatever benefits they have even though those benefits are pretty limited.
