Job hoppers can be bad for the company which hires them but each time they join a company, they will most probably work hard in order to impress. On the other hand, a loyal employee may take the company for granted and starts to slack a lot.

Don’t believe? Try to observe. Most newcomers always come in on time, if not earlier. But the old employees will always come in late.

Bosses love to talk about innovation....perhaps far more than necessary

There’s nothing wrong with promoting innovation in a company. But promoting innovation by saying it, and not doing it, that’s another story. Most companies do promote and encourage their employees to innovate. However, they don’t allocate time and freedom for the employees to do so. To make things worse, some of the most innovative ideas will be turned down by the bosses just because “the employees won’t under how the company works”.

Opening up the job vacancy to the employees is fast becoming irrelevant

Most companies do promote internal promotion or internal job switching, but not many companies actually DO those things. They prefer to hire talents from outside the company.

By the way, this story is also based on a true story experienced by a friend of mine.

I was quite busy on Sunday and just came back from Sydney on Saturday evening. So this comic is rather simple and short. Will try to do a better one next Monday.

Anyway, I think this is quite true because if the bosses have been there for more than 10 years….what makes you think you will get promoted especially when the company is not expanding. So a good employee retainment policy to you, might not be equally good to others.

Funny how employee survey always come and go like a wind. No action taken because most bosses will just say “We can’t satisfy everyone”. And that’s it. The money used to create and manage the survey will be gone forever.

1 year later, the exact same lines will be used and the exact same outcome will happen. Why waste the money?

I wonder how many bosses actually have such habit

Somehow I feel that most bosses will ask for the best performance from their people but will tell their people to appreciate whatever benefits they have even though those benefits are pretty limited.

Awards don’t necessarily mean good stuff especially those that are as mysterious as this. Maybe in the future, company will use this “special award” to get rid of employees. LOL. Hope you guys enjoy it.
